Proposal

Abstract

This proposal is designed to test the governance infrastructure of RARI DAO v2 deployed on RARI Chain. It allows DAO participants to simulate a real vote using live infrastructure, ensuring that proposal creation, delegation, voting, and execution are functioning as intended before governance is used for high-stakes decisions.

Rationale

With the transition to RARI DAO v2 on RARI Chain, it is critical to verify the technical soundness and user experience of the new governance framework. A test proposal enables contributors and delegates to engage with the system in a low-risk environment, ensuring readiness for future proposals with real treasury or protocol implications.

Motivation

To ensure full functionality of the upgraded DAO stack, this test proposal will:

  • Validate the proposal lifecycle from submission to execution
  • Test the onchain vote tallying and execution process on RARI Chain
  • Provide hands-on experience for delegates and voters using RARI DAO v2
  • Surface potential bugs or UI/UX issues before production use

Specifications

1. Test Action

This proposal will send a minimal amount of ETH from the DAO treasury to an address that contributed this amount to the treasury previously to prove execution logic works.

2. Voting Setup

This proposal will use the full RARI DAO v2 governance pipeline:

  • Onchain proposal creation on RARI Chain
  • Voting by tokenholders with RARI delegated to RARI DAO v2
  • Timelock and execution

Steps to Implement

  1. DAO Submission: A designated proposer submits the test proposal on RARI Chain
  2. Delegate Communication: Encourage tokenholders to delegate RARI and vote
  3. Voting Period: Proposal remains open for the standard duration (e.g., 3–5 days)
  4. Execution: Upon success, proposal is executed onchain via the DAO executor
  5. Postmortem: Publish a recap outlining what worked and what requires fixes

Timeline

  • Week 1 voting
  • Week 2 postmortem
