My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: ATX DAO will be an Optimism delegate to act as a force and advocate for crypto and Optimism in the city of Austin, the state of Texas, and the United States as a result. This will manifest in 4 ways:

1. Policy: we have and will continue to introduce, lobby for, and secure passage of crypto favorable legislation and policy. Large amounts of time and resources have already been spent in pursuit of this, establishing ATX DAO as a policy leader in Texas.
2. Education: As a city DAO we seek to grow Austin’s understanding and use of cryptocurrency. The local nature of city DAOs will allow us to engage IRL and personally in unique ways geographically agnostic DAOs can not.
3. Onboarding: The DAO seeks to grow knowledge and use of cryptocurrency in the larger business community. ATX DAO works with national level brands already.
4. Social: ATX DAO will act as a center of gravity for the cryptocurrency community of Austin, facilitating personal connection, group collaboration, and growth. We hold numerous large events each year. Countless projects and full scale businesses have been born after ideation at ATX DAO events.

My view on the Optimistic Vision: ATX DAO independently arrived at the same vision--"a band of communities, companies, and citizens united by a mutually beneficial pact to adhere to the axiom of impact=profit — the principle that positive impact to the collective should be rewarded with profit to the individual."

My view on the first three articles of the Working Constitution: As a 150+ member city dao, ATX DAO is aligned with the experimental nature of the Optimism Collective, and the importance of checks and balances within the collective during decision making.
