Abstract

This proposal aims to introduce the Lisk community to the principles of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) on the Ethereum blockchain. With Lisk’s transition to the L2 Ethereum blockchain, users will be able to test DAO capabilities, make mistakes without fear, and enhance their skills in decentralized governance.

Motivation

With the transition to the L2 Ethereum blockchain, the Lisk community gains access to improved blockchain features, including higher transaction speeds and reduced fees. Introducing DAO principles will allow users not only to familiarize themselves with new governance opportunities but also to actively participate in decision-making, thereby strengthening decentralized governance within the Lisk ecosystem.

Rationale

The proposal fully aligns with the mission and values of the Lisk DAO, which aim to promote decentralization, innovation, and community engagement. The transition to the L2 Ethereum blockchain and integration with DAOs will improve governance processes, provide access to new tools and technologies, and allow users to develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Action Plan

Create and deploy a test proposal titled “Just a Test Vote” to familiarize the community with the voting process within a DAO on the L2 Ethereum blockchain.
