Proposal

Twitter Account Control

Type: Critical Infrastructure Decision

Status: Open for Discussion

Voting Period: 7 Days (Upon Approval to Proceed to Vote)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Zeus Army must decide how to handle official Twitter communications following the Community Take Over. The previous founding team refuses to transfer full ownership of @zeuscoineth_, claiming they "cannot change the email." This proposal presents two options for the community to vote on.

BACKGROUND & CONTEXT

The Current Situation

The previous anonymous founding team controls the verified Twitter account @zeuscoineth_ (the project's primary social media presence with existing followers and verification status).

What They're Claiming

The previous team states they cannot change the email address associated with the Twitter account to transfer it to the Zeus Army.

Why This Claim Is Suspicious

Technical Reality: Any Twitter account owner CAN change the associated email address. This is a standard account management feature. The process is:

settings -> your account -> account information -> update email

The Possible Real Reason: The account is verified (blue checkmark).

What This Means: Someone from the previous team submitted their personal documents to verify this account. If they transfer it, there's a permanent record linking their real identity to the account registration.

Why They Won't Transfer: They want to remain anonymous and avoid any trail that could expose who they are.

What They're Offering Instead

The previous team offers to give the Zeus Army delegated access to @zeuscoineth_. This means:

❌ The Community Does NOT Own the Account

❌ They Can Revoke Access At Any Time

❌ Full Control Remains With Anonymous Previous Team

❌ No Protection Against Future Disputes

✅ We Can Post Tweets (Until They Decide Otherwise)

Why This Is A Red Flag

According to the Zeus Army Manifesto principles:

  1. Community Sovereignty: "Every significant decision will be voted on. Every action will be transparent."
  2. Radical Transparency: "Trust is not asked for, it is demonstrated day after day."
  3. No More Broken Promises: "Where there was opacity, there will be transparency."

Delegated access violates these principles. It means:

  • An anonymous team retains ultimate control over our primary communication channel
  • They could lock us out during critical moments
  • They could post unauthorized content
  • They could delete the account entirely
  • The community has no recourse or protection

The Alternative Account

The Zeus Army has access to @zeuscc8, which is:

  • Fully controlled by the community
  • Not dependent on the previous team
  • Available for immediate use
  • Able to be verified independently if needed in the future

THE PROPOSAL: TWO OPTIONS

The community must choose between two approaches:

OPTION A (VOTE YES): Accept Delegated Access Risk

What This Means:

  • Continue using @zeuscoineth_ as our primary Twitter account
  • Operate as "delegates" with permission from previous team
  • Accept that they can revoke access at any time
  • Retain existing follower base and verification

Advantages:

  • ✅ Keep existing followers (~X followers - verify current count)
  • ✅ Maintain verification badge
  • ✅ Preserve established account recognition
  • ✅ Avoid need to rebuild audience from scratch

Disadvantages:

  • No true ownership or control
  • Previous team can revoke access anytime
  • Violates Manifesto principles of sovereignty
  • Creates dependency on untrusted party
  • Vulnerable during disputes or critical moments
  • Sends message that we don't truly control our project
  • Could lose access with no warning
  • Undermines credibility of CTO

Risk Assessment: 🔴 HIGH RISK

This option fundamentally contradicts the Zeus Army's founding principles. We would be building our community on infrastructure we don't control, maintained by an anonymous team that has already demonstrated lack of transparency.

OPTION B (VOTE NO) : Full Break - Community-Owned Account

What This Means:

  • Post ONE FINAL tweet on @zeuscoineth_ announcing:
    • The Community Take Over
    • New official account: @zeuscc8
    • Reason for the change (transparency and community ownership)
    • Link to zeus.army website
    • Use the @zeuscoineth_ account only to retweet content from the @cc8army account.
  • Immediately transition all official communications to @zeuscc8
  • Build our community on infrastructure we fully control

Advantages:

  • 100% community ownership and control
  • Aligns with Manifesto principles
  • No dependency on previous team
  • Cannot be revoked or compromised
  • Demonstrates genuine CTO commitment
  • Clean break from questionable previous management
  • Full transparency about reasons for change
  • Sets precedent for other decisions

Disadvantages:

  • ❌ Need to rebuild follower base
  • ❌ Lose verification badge (initially)
  • ❌ Requires migration effort from community
  • ❌ Short-term loss of established presence

Risk Assessment: 🟢 LOW RISK

While we lose some short-term advantages, we gain complete control over our primary communication channel and demonstrate commitment to the principles in our Manifesto.
