Bringing Nouns Into Everyday Life

Hello Nouns,

My name is Deguma, an artist from Indonesia who has spent the past three years bringing Nouns beyond the blockchain and into everyday life.

The journey began three years ago with Nouns Piggy Bank, continued with Noun Dragon Booth, which is still operating today, and later with the Nouns Cat Public Sculpture, which has now become a permanent landmark.

Every one of these projects was created with the same purpose.

Not simply to let people see Nouns on the internet.

But to let them truly see, touch, play with, and experience Nouns in the real world.

Today, I want to take Nouns one step further.

Nouns Scooter.

Why This Project?

Over the years, Nouns has supported hundreds of creative projects.

Many of them have successfully introduced Nouns to new audiences.

However, most of them face the same challenge.

Once the grant ends, the project often slows down or stops because it lacks a sustainable source of income.

Nouns Scooter takes a different approach.

Not just building another project.

But building a business that can sustain itself, create local jobs, and return part of its profits back to Nouns.

What is Nouns Scooter?

Nouns Scooter is a themed attraction consisting of 10 the-wheeled electric scooters, each designed as a unique Nouns character.

But what we’re really building is not ten vehicles.

We’re building an experience.

Visitors can ride Nouns characters, take photos, create videos, and share those experiences on social media.

Every ride introduces Nouns to new people.

Every photo becomes organic promotion.

Every video becomes a new story about Nouns.

Prototype Already Proved the Concept

This proposal is no longer just an idea.

The first prototype, Nouns Zebra, has already been completed and successfully tested by visitors at Noyo Gimbal View.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive.

It proves that the hardest step has already been accomplished.

Now it’s time to build the first fleet.

Why Noyo Gimbal View?

The greatest advantage of this proposal is that it does not start from zero.

I am one of the founders and managers of Noyo Gimbal View, which means I understand attraction operations, visitor behavior, tourism promotion, and destination management.

The location already has a proven market.

This allows Nouns Scooter to begin operating and creating impact from day one.

  • 2024: 500,552 visitors
  • 2025: 348,362 visitors
  • 2026 (through July): 203,157 visitors

The current average is approximately 29,000 visitors per month.

That means Nouns Scooter already has real potential customers before it even opens.

A Sustainable Business

This is the heart of the proposal.

Nouns Scooter is not designed to become another project that ends when the grant ends.

Revenue generated from ticket sales will be used for:

  • Daily operations
  • Salaries for three full-time employees
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Business growth
  • Sharing 20% of net profit back with Nouns

I believe Public Goods can also have sustainable business models.

To me, a grant is not the end of a project.

It is the beginning of a living business.

A business designed to continuously create value for both the local community and the Nouns ecosystem.

Nouns Scooters Operational System

This operation will be managed by 3 full-time employees:

  • 2 employees will work as ride operators.
  • 1 employee will be dedicated exclusively to promotion and social media content, including X, Farcaster, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

This ensures that the project continuously publishes updates, reports, and new content every day.

Estimated Monthly Operating Costs

  • Employee salaries (3 employees): IDR 7,038,000/month
  • Health insurance (3 employees): IDR 450,000/month
  • Holiday allowance reserve (THR) (3 employees): IDR 586,500/month

Total Operating Cost: IDR 8,073,500 per month

Visitor Target

Most attractions at Noyo Gimbal View successfully attract 15–28% of total visitors.

However, I have intentionally chosen to use a much more conservative target.

My goal is to attract only 5–10% of total visitors.

With an average of 29,000 visitors per month and a ticket price of IDR 15,000, the projection is:

5% Target

  • Approximately 1,450 riders per month
  • Monthly revenue: IDR 21,750,000

This revenue is already sufficient to cover the monthly operating costs.

Net profit: IDR 13,676,500/month

20% returned to Nouns: IDR 2,735,300/month

I chose this target so that all financial projections remain realistic, conservative, and fully justifiable.

Fleet Maintenance

The safety and comfort of every visitor are our highest priorities.

To ensure this, I allocate 5% of net profit to a dedicated fleet maintenance fund.

This fund is used for:

  • Routine servicing
  • Replacement of worn or damaged parts
  • Regular safety inspections
  • Keeping every scooter in excellent operating condition

This maintenance budget helps ensure that the entire fleet remains safe, reliable, and enjoyable for visitors over the long term.

Funding

Total request:

US$22,189

  • 10 Nouns Scooters — US$13,862
  • Nouns Scooter Station — US$8,327

The station will serve as the operational headquarters, charging station, maintenance workshop, operator briefing area, and a new Nouns-themed landmark.

Long-term Partnership

I don’t want this relationship to end when the proposal is completed.

I want this grant to become the beginning of a long-term partnership with Nouns.

Daily operations, fleet maintenance, staff management, and financial reporting will be handled by the Noyo Gimbal View management team under a mutually agreed cooperation agreement.

As part of this commitment, 20% of the project’s net profit will be shared back with Nouns, accompanied by regular operational and financial reports to the community.

To ensure this commitment is carried out properly, I am prepared to establish a formal cooperation agreement with a representative appointed by Nouns DAO to define the reporting process, transparency standards, and profit-sharing mechanism.

My goal is not simply to complete a grant-funded project, but to build a business that continues to grow, creates long-term value, and benefits both the local community and the Nouns ecosystem.

Long-term Vision

The primary goal of this proposal is not simply to build an attraction in Indonesia.

The real goal is to prove that this model works.

If successful, I hope Nouns Scooter can become a blueprint that communities in other cities and countries can replicate, eventually growing into a global network of Nouns-themed attractions.

Closing

Over the past three years, I have demonstrated that Nouns can exist in the real world through public art, creative spaces, and permanent installations.

Now it’s time to take the next step.

I am not submitting this proposal simply to build ten scooters.

I am submitting it to help create something the Nouns ecosystem has never had before.

A living Nouns business in the real world.

A place where tens of thousands of people every month can see, ride, photograph, and experience Nouns.

Not just as a logo.

Not just as an NFT.

But as part of everyday life.

Don’t just fund another project.

Help build the first sustainable real-world Nouns business.
