Summary NOUNS Scooter is an initiative to bring Nouns from the digital world into the real world through electric vehicles designed as Nounish characters that visitors can ride at Noyo Gimbal View.

The first prototype, the NOUNS Scooter Zebra, has been completed and tested by visitors. Based on this experience, I want to expand the project on a small, simple scale with a stronger focus on being an IRL public good.

Through this proposal, I am requesting support from Nouns DAO to build 5 additional NOUNS Scooters, bringing the total fleet to 6 scooters at Noyo Gimbal View.

The cost of producing the first prototype will also be reimbursed by the management of Noyo Gimbal View. This reimbursement is a contribution from Noyo Gimbal View to the project, not personal profit from operating the NOUNS Scooters.

In this way, Noyo Gimbal View is also taking part in bringing and introducing Nouns to people in Indonesia.

A New Concept Based on feedback from the Nouns community, I am changing NOUNS Scooter from a for-profit business model into an IRL public good.

I have also discussed this new concept with the management of Noyo Gimbal View. They responded positively and see NOUNS Scooter as a new public attraction that can add value to Noyo Gimbal View.

NOUNS Scooter will not have a mandatory ticket price.

Instead, we will use a:

PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN

model.

Visitors can contribute according to their ability:

Visitors who can afford to pay more can contribute more. Visitors who can only contribute a small amount can still ride. Visitors who cannot afford to pay can enjoy the experience for free. Visitors will be encouraged to share their NOUNS Scooter experience on social media using #NounsScooter and #Nouns. The goal is not to generate personal profit, but to provide an accessible Nouns experience for the public and bring Nouns into the real world.

The primary value of NOUNS Scooter is not the revenue it generates, but public access to a Nouns experience, a physical Nouns presence in the real world, and the content and awareness generated through those experiences.

How Will Contributions Be Used? All contributions collected from NOUNS Scooter will be used to keep the facility operating and sustainable.

Funds will be used for:

scooter maintenance and repairs; batteries and charging; spare parts; safety equipment; repainting and maintaining the Nounish characters; operational needs directly related to keeping the scooters functional. I will not receive any profit from visitor contributions.

These contributions are not a source of personal income. They are a mechanism to help keep the NOUNS Scooters available to the public.

What if contributions are not enough?

I have discussed this with the management of Noyo Gimbal View.

If visitor contributions are insufficient, or if there is no income at all, Noyo Gimbal View will help cover maintenance and repair costs.

This allows NOUNS Scooter to continue operating without relying on additional grants from Nouns DAO for routine maintenance.

What Am I Asking From Nouns DAO? I am requesting a grant to build:

With 5 additional units:

1 prototype + 5 new units = 6 NOUNS Scooters

I am no longer requesting funding for a dedicated garage. All scooters will use the existing storage facilities at Noyo Gimbal View.

Estimated Budget

Item Cost 5 NOUNS Scooters × $1,403 = $7,015 Total grant requested $7,015

All NOUNS Scooters will be built by the creative team at Noyo Gimbal View.

The production cost covers the construction and completion of each scooter so that it is ready to operate as a Nounish attraction.

Why Noyo Gimbal View? Noyo Gimbal View is a tourist destination in Indonesia that receives approximately 29,000 visitors per month.

I have already started bringing Nouns into the destination, including the Noun Dragon Booth and a Nouns cat sculpture.

My long-term goal is to gradually develop Noyo Gimbal View into a destination with a strong Nouns identity.

NOUNS Scooter will become one of the largest Nouns experiences that visitors can interact with directly.

Visitors will not simply see the Nouns logo or artwork online.

They can:

see → touch → ride → experience Nouns in real life.

This creates an opportunity for Nouns to interact with people who may have never encountered Nouns before.

With approximately 29,000 visitors per month, the project has the potential to introduce Nouns to thousands of people through direct experiences and the content they create themselves.

Value to Nouns By supporting this project, Nouns DAO is not simply funding vehicles.

The DAO is helping create real-world Nouns infrastructure and experiences.

NOUNS Scooter will provide:

a permanent Nouns presence at a tourist destination; direct experiences for thousands of visitors; photo and video content created by visitors; an opportunity to introduce Nouns to new audiences; organic Nouns content generated through visitor experiences; a physical medium for creating Nouns content among people who may have had no previous connection to Nouns; a real-world example of how the Nouns IP can be creatively applied. This project can also serve as an experiment that other Nouns builders can learn from, develop further, and potentially replicate in other cities or countries.

Transparency and Relationship with Noyo Gimbal View I am the manager of Noyo Gimbal View and will serve as the builder/operator of this project.

I want to be transparent that I am directly involved in developing and managing the project.

However, visitor contributions from NOUNS Scooter will not become personal profit for me.

The funds will be used for maintenance and the continued operation of the scooters.

Noyo Gimbal View is aware of the project and has responded positively to the concept of NOUNS Scooter as a new public attraction.

In addition to providing the location and operational support, the management of Noyo Gimbal View will reimburse the cost of producing the completed NOUNS Scooter Zebra prototype.

This reimbursement is a contribution from Noyo Gimbal View to the project, not personal profit from NOUNS Scooter operations.

Therefore, Noyo Gimbal View is not simply the location for the project. It is also directly contributing to bringing and introducing Nouns to people in Indonesia.

I hope this collaboration can become an example of how the Nouns community and local partners can work together to bring Nouns into the real world.

Operations Noyo Gimbal View will be the location and operating site for NOUNS Scooter.

Daily operations will include:

checking scooter condition; charging the scooters; managing visitor usage; ensuring user safety; routine maintenance; recording usage and scooter conditions. I will be responsible for ensuring the project continues to operate and for providing progress updates to the Nouns community.

Documentation and Transparency I will document the development of the project through photos, videos, and regular updates.

Data that can be shared with the Nouns community includes:

number of users; total visitor contributions; maintenance costs; scooter conditions; documentation of visitor activities; project development over time. The goal is to allow the Nouns community to see directly how a Nouns grant becomes a real-world experience.

Next Steps If the grant is approved, I will:

Produce 5 additional NOUNS Scooters. Complete the Nounish design and branding for each unit. Conduct safety and operational testing. Deploy all 6 scooters at Noyo Gimbal View. Launch the Pay-What-You-Can model. Encourage visitors to share their experiences on social media using #NounsScooter and #Nouns. Document usage and project development. Conclusion The first prototype has demonstrated that Nouns can exist and interact directly with people in the real world.

Now I want to expand this experiment while keeping it small, open, and focused on being a public good.

I am asking Nouns DAO for support to build 5 additional NOUNS Scooters that can provide an IRL Nouns experience for the public.

With support from Nouns DAO, a contribution from Noyo Gimbal View, and the work of a local creative team, this project can become a collaboration that brings Nouns closer to people in Indonesia.

From one prototype to six scooters.

From a digital character to a real-world experience.

And from one location in Indonesia, I hope this project can demonstrate how Nouns can exist creatively in the real world and inspire other builders to do the same.
