I am submitting this onchain proposal to request funding from the Ethereum treasury to support the Ethereum Scaling Research Initiative (ESRI). The ESRI aims to accelerate the development of scalable solutions for the Ethereum network, addressing critical challenges such as throughput, latency, and transaction costs.

Funds requested will be allocated towards:

Research Grants: Providing financial support to researchers and developers working on scaling solutions, including layer 2 protocols, sharding, and state channels. Development Bounties: Offering incentives for the implementation and optimization of scalable technologies on the Ethereum platform. Community Engagement: Organizing workshops, conferences, and educational programs to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among Ethereum developers and researchers. By investing in scaling research and development, we can enhance the scalability and usability of the Ethereum network, paving the way for broader adoption and increased network resilience.
